Last week i went for shopping at Mydin Hypermarket. As usual, i had my list with me so that i won't forget why i came there in the first place. In the past, i end up buying many items that was not the reason i went there for.
For those concern / sensitive enough, few NGOs are persuading us, the consumer to boycott Dutch's products. An interesting fact that i would like to share here is, Mydin is collaborating with PPIM regarding this matter. I was really amused by their approach. I really think other organizations don't even the guts to express their concern. I had to switch to different brands for few products.
We as the consumer have the bargaining power that can really make an impact. This is the easiest way to express our anger to those who tried to make fool of our religion. But then, here comes the reality. Many muslim don't even care what is happening around them. They only care those things related to their tummy. As long as they have a 'happy life', that would be satisfactory.
I'm not writing to urge you to boycott (but if you do, well done), i'm asking for all of us to have at least some concern on what is happening to our religion, our brothers and our muslim world as a whole. May Allah bless us all for our effort...
